Gotta Have A Boiler?

Last month we wrote an article about installing a new energy efficient boiler in a triplex. Thankfully, I didn't reveal the location as I recently discovered that some burglars covet those beauties. The police blotter from the New Jersery town of Montclair:
"Officers responded to a multi-family residence on May 24 at about 6:45 a.m. on a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, police checked the interior of the residence but did not locate any suspects, but they discovered a heating boiler had been stolen from the house.

It appeared that extensive damage had been done to the home's heating system, with holes punched in the wall and ceiling to access the plumbing inside the walls. The caller said he observed two males removing the boiler with a hand truck while another male stood in the back yard. The three suspects loaded the boiler onto a white pickup truck and fled the scene westbound on Washington Street.

At about 9 a.m. that morning, police located a vehicle with a loud muffler and an operator matching the description provided by the witness. Police stopped the vehicle in the area of Washington and Hartley streets and identified the driver as 78-year-old Johnnie Howell, authorities said." the article continues here
Forget the wise-cracks I could go with for the old get-away driver and realize that some people think new efficient boilers can cut down on their bills so much that they are willing to go to jail to have one.
